Lovely Yoga Video
I haven’t done any knitting for more than a few months. But isn’t this lovely?

Your ball of yarn goes in there and the bowl holds it neatly while you knit or crochet. You can get them here. And here’s one with yarn in it looking quite a lot like a sweet bowl of sorbet.
I recently read that overall, Americans spend 90% of their time indoors. This scares me. And as much as I love trees, plants, the ocean, jumping around like a nut, etc…I think this is true of my life, too!
So, I’m thinking up ways to get out more - especially now that spring is on the way!
One of my more elaborate ideas related to this topic is:
A Field Day for Adults
I’ll come up with a more fun name later.
But my idea is a totally free day where adults are invited to a local park. They’ll bring balls, frisbees, etc. There’s a local juggling group that I’m sure will come. There are tables where people can play checkers, chess, or anything else that doesn’t easily blow away. Acoustic instruments will be welcome. We’ll have a few organized events (water balloon catching games…and others I’ll think up later), but mostly it’ll be very open.
I’m getting excited about organizing this idea and seeing how it goes!
I’d love to hear any ideas on this from you creative folks!
Red Machine. It sounds like it means something. But really it’s just the juice I am drinking. It’s stuffed full of all sorts of red fruits.
Hi.
I haven’t been around for a while…but that hasn’t stopped people from visiting my blog. Thank you!
I’d love to start posting here regularly again. It’s kind of like I’ve forgotten what I used to post about! I think it’s just a product of brain overload. I’ve been burning a lot of brain power lately.
Soon, I hope to post here about:

I played this for the first time yesterday and then played it again…and again…and again…
It’s fun! And addictive.
It’s a great two-person game. It’s sort of in the chess-family, but the rules are simpler. That doesn’t stop it from being an interested and complex game, though.
Give it a try!
Hope Notes
From now through April 1st, I encourage you to create a stackful of notes with messages of hope and leave them in public places.
Blog about it. Tell your friends and family about it. Post photos of your notes to the hopeREVO Flickr group.
Or be completely anonymous.
Follow your own heart.
It’s turned out that I’ve needed to blog less for a little while. I’ve just been overwhelmed by stress-y thing. Yuck!
I refuse to stress about not posting in my totally-for-fun blog, though!
…I’m reading right now:
Rumi: The Book of Love: Poems of Ecstasy and Longing by Coleman Barks
This book is full of Rumi’s poetry, of course, but it also has all sorts of commentary from Coleman Barks. I didn’t know this when I first picked up the book and at first started to skip the intro. But something made me go back and I’m glad I did. It’s very interesting and engaging and even…funny!
This Time I Dance!: Creating the Work You Love by Tama J. Kieves
This book is excellent. I haven’t finished it, but I’m already recommending it to certain people. I’m in the process of radically changing what I do during the day and how I make money. It’s a confusing, scary, wonderful, weird, totally baffling, messy, insane process. This book describes that process in an honest, compassionate, and helpful way. It’s about taking yourself from a life that is just wasting time to a really fulfilling existence.
Okay, even I can’t read ALL the time, so I’m guessing that you folks might voluntarily shut the covers from time to time as well… What else do you do with your leisure to pass the time? Walk the dog? Knit? Run marathons? Construct grandfather clocks? Collect eggshells?
So today’s Booking Through Thursday is not about books! =O *dramatic music swells*
There are SO many things I like to do and am interested in that I am always wishing for more time in the day. Here are some of the things I enjoy, other than books:
