A lot of searches for ‘handmade christmas ornaments’ are leading folks to my blog. I think I’ll share with you a craft project I created the other day.

Ingredients:
- grocery or department store junk mail circulars (newspaper-thickness sheets of junk mail)
- a sewing machine and thread
- scissors
Directions:
- Take a thick stack of your junk mail paper and sew a straigh line through the middle of the sheets. How many sheet you use is up to you, but it should be more than a few, but not so many that your sewing machine can’t handle it.
- Fold the sheets along the sewed line and cut out the half-profile of a tree. This is just like when you fold a piece of paper and cut out half a heart, so that there’s a whole heart when you unfold it. Same concept.
- Fluff out the pages so they look nice and you’re done! You can string a loop of thread through the top and hang it or it can be a standing decorations (as long as the bottom is flat).
There you have it! It’s a fun little craft you can do with that pesky junkmail!
