the lovely yarn bowl

I haven’t done any knitting for more than a few months. But isn’t this lovely?

Your ball of yarn goes in there and the bowl holds it neatly while you knit or crochet. You can get them here. And here’s one with yarn in it looking quite a lot like a sweet bowl of sorbet.

    What a good idea! The actual bowl is pretty, too. I’ve seen those plastic skein jars, but I like to roll my yarn.
    Crocheting straight from the skein makes me nervous about hidden tangles. Also, if I wind it in a ball I can check out the entire length of yarn for splits, joins and frays. Sometimes I come across a new skein practically filled with them.
