This is someone’s cubicle. See more of her photos here.
These photos are great. They’re not exactly how I would decorate my workspace if I was going to really put effort into it, but to me these are spaces that make you happy, help you keep your sense of humor, give you needed doses of color and design…spaces that DON’T just suck all your brainpower, spirit, and will to live into a sea of grey.
Yes, I work in a cubicle-type space during the day and like most American office spaces - everything is grey or beige. Painful.
We’re moving offices in December and these photos are inspiring me. Perhaps when I move into my new (smaller and crappier, I hear) space, I will really make it unique in some way.
Ideas:
- Neatly cover bulletin board spaces with colorful fabrics.
- Put some kind of soft and colorful blanket on my chair.
- Decorate any wall space I have with framed postcards and other cheap arty bits.
- If there’s room, maybe a small accent lamp.
- Some gnomes (like in some of these photos)! Gnomes are important.
Those are a few ideas to get me started. If/when I begin this project, I’ll take some pictures!

I think that might be the largest Pez collection known to mankind. Wow. Etsy is great for inexpensive artsy bits. Love it, especially StilettoHeights!
