Happy Halloween!

Kids: They dance before they learn there is anything that isn’t music.
- William Stafford
Since we live where everything is music, everything is dancing. Watch the dust grains moving in the light near the window. Their dance is our dance. We rarely hear the inward music, but we’re all dancing to it nevertheless.
– Rumi
Now sweet one, be wise. Cast all your votes for dancing.

Lyndsey over at Lez Keep It Real is hosting a contest. And the prize is a free book!

Not only that, but the book is signed by one of the authors (who just happens to be Lyndsey)!
I’ve heard this collection is very good. If you win, I’d love to read your review. So, stop over at Lyndsey’s blog and send her a summer love memory. Good luck!
One of the purposes of this blog is to share and record my ‘adventures.’ These are pretty much whatever I want them to be.
After some years away, I’m back at the harp. I am fortunate enough to have a new harp:

It’s very lovely and tons of fun to play. Once I’m a bit less rusty, I really want to dive into adventures with this. What those will be - I’m not sure yet. But I want to play outside (parks? sidewalks?), I want to play music with kids, and who knows what else.
What wild ideas do you have involving a small harp?

“Until one is committed there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way.
I learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets:
Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.”
-W. H. Murray
I thought I’d do a little post featuring a few adorable etsy finds. Click on the pictures to go straight to the shops.
How about a sweet charm for necklaces, cell phones, or whatever you’d like to adorn?
