On PBMs, I shortly and sweetly highlight a picture book. For instance:
An Island Grows
written by Lola M. Schaefer
and illustrated by Cathie Felstead
Why Read It: Simple, rhyming text that works (doesn’t seem strained). Beautiful paper collage illustrations – they’re really great.
Themes: How an island grows from an undersea volcano to a place where plants, creatures, and cultures thrive.
